• Sighting reports since the 1930s clustered in 3 areas.

• "Ground-truthed" photographs of cougars in 1993 and 1997 taken approximately 4 miles apart.

• Wildlife biologist's sighting and photographs of tracks within 10 miles in 1998.

• Tracks and scat (confirmed by DNA analysis) found in 2001.

• Cubs and cubs with adult reported by multiple observers in same area.
